External Carrier Registration & Compliance
Caldwell Transport Services works with qualified external carriers through our carrier compliance and onboarding system, RMIS. All external carriers must register through our compliance portal and meet CTS carrier requirements before hauling loads with us.

Required Information for Carrier Registration
To become a certified carrier with Caldwell Transport Services, you will need to provide and complete the following items:
MC/MX# or DOT# to begin registration
Intrastate carriers without a DOT# may provide an applicable state registration number
Company contact information
Electronic W-9 with Tax ID
Completed Carrier Profile
Review and acceptance of required carrier agreements
Certificate of Insurance submitted by your insurance producer or agent
Insurance Requirements
Your Certificate of Insurance must meet the following minimum coverage requirements:
$100,000 Cargo Coverage
$1,000,000 Auto Coverage
$1,000,000 General Liability Each Occurrence Limit
$2,000,000 General Liability Aggregate Limit
Certificates must be submitted directly from your insurance producer or agent. If RMIS does not already have your certificate on file, RMIS will request it from your insurance producer on your behalf.
Carrier Qualification Requirements
All carriers must meet the following compliance standards:
Active Common or Contract Authority
Safety Rating of Satisfactory, Conditional, or None
Authority active for at least 90 days
All external carriers must remain current and compliant through RMIS in order to continue working with Caldwell Transport Services. Completing this process helps us maintain strong carrier partnerships, regulatory compliance, and dependable service for our customers.
